RICHARDSON, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's tennis team fell 9-0 against UT Dallas at UTD Tennis Complex to open American Southwest Conference play.
 
The Tornados were unable to grab a match win on the day as they dropped to 4-5, 0-1 ASC on the season. 
 
In doubles matches, the combinations of Genna Ellinwood and Camille Kempf and Alexis Popovich and Kaitlin Stevens both were able to win three games, but eventually fell 8-3.
 
Ellinwood, a senior out of Pflugerville, Texas, and reigning ASC Player of the Week won three games in singles play as well while playing on line six before dropping the match 6-3, 6-0.
 
Next up, CTX will return to ASC play with a matchup against Howard Payne in Brownwood, Texas on Saturday at 10 a.m.
