AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's tennis team continued their dominant play of late, sweeping all three doubles matches and picking up their fourth straight win against UT Dallas 6-3 on Friday.
The Tornados found early success on the day, winning all three lines of doubles play.
Joshua Bode and
Esteban Arredondo got things started for CTX, taking down the Comets' Ashwin Vaithianathan and John Edwards 8-6.
Robin Van Der Heijden and
Joeri Bregman followed this up with an 8-5 win at line two, and
Evan Pena Jr. and
Adrian Munguia completed the doubles' sweep with a commanding 8-3 victory.
Bregman picked up the Tornados' first singles win, coming out on top in three sets at line three. Arredondo followed that up with a victory at line four 6-2, 6-2, and Mungia capped of a successful day with a 6-0, 7-5 win.
The Tornados will have a small hiatus, but they will look to continue their winning way on March 27 when they host ASC opponent McMurry at River Place Country Club in Austin, Texas at 1 p.m.
