BELTON, Texas - Concordia Texas volleyball senior
Sarah Ghormley (22 kils, 21 digs) posted her second career 20-20 double-double in a 3-1 loss to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Selena Cooper (42 assists, 11 digs) and
Kinsy Haschke (13 kills, 13 digs) also posted double-doubles inside on Thursday.
CTX trailed 21-19 when a kill by Haschke initiated a 6-1 run to end the first set. Set two was also close with a score of 18-18, but the Crusaders were the ones to close it out strong at 25-20 to even the series.
Concordia raced to a 9-3 lead in the third set. UMHB chipped away at their deficit and evened the score at 22-all before taking a 2-1 advantage in the series by winning 27-25. The Cru would then carry momentum into the fourth set to win 25-15 and secure a match victory.
Concordia Texas will now await the conclusion of other ASC matchups this weekend to see if they qualify for the conference tournament. You can view the conference standings
