Tornados finish second at Pinecrest Intercollegiate

LONGVIEW, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's golf team, led by Travis Skorheim and Justin Skorheim, played to a second-place finish as they completed the Pinecrest Intercollegiate Tuesday.
 
Both Travis and Justin finished in a tie-for-fourth, with Travis totaling 77-73-71 – 221 and Justin totaling 77-74-70 – 221. This marked the top finish from each golfer this spring.
 
As a team, Concordia Texas scored 301-300-291 – 892, just one shy of the season-high 18-hole score in the final round, and finished second overall.
 
Next, Ben Constancio recorded his third straight top-ten finish, shooting a 70-81-74 – 225 for seventh place, and Noah Vazquez scored a career-best 54-hole result with 77-76-76 – 229, good for a tie-for-12th.
 
Jason Deibner, making his first appearance this spring, turned in a total scorecard of 79-77-78 – 234 to finish 22nd, the best finish of his career.
 
Jorge Arnaud rounded out the CTX scoring with a three-round stroke count of 78-82-78 – 238, finishing in a tie-for-27th.
 
CJ Reitmeyer, competing as an individual, penciled in a total score of 70-77-81 – 228, recording his second top-10 finish this spring by ending in a tie-for-ninth.
 
The Tornados will be back in action at the Texas Cup, playing the opening round on Saturday at Watters Creek Golf Club in Plano, Texas.
