AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas softball team returned to Tornado Softball Field for the series finale with LeTourneau, falling 8-0 on Saturday.
 
The Tornados were unable to get the offense going, and a huge fourth inning from LETU turned the tide in the game. Ultimately, the Tornados came away empty in game three of the series.
 
Ashley Hallmark and Emily Schmuck picked up CTX's two hits, and Hallmark recorded a stolen base to go along with it.
 
LeTourneau pushed a run across in the opening frame with an RBI triple, taking an early 1-0 lead.
 
In the bottom of the second, Schmuck laced a single up the middle and Megan Hooper reached base by way of a hit-by-pitch, but the Tornado were unable to bring them home, leaving the score at 1-0.
 
After Tisdale retired the top of the third in order, Caylee Spangle reached on an error and stole second base, but she was stranded after two quick outs.
 
The fourth inning proved to be the big one for LeTourneau, plating seven runs on six hits to extend the lead to 8-0.
 
In the following frame, Hallmark led off with a single and stole second, but that was all for CTX, and the score remained 8-0 heading into the fifth.
 
The game ended after five innings due to the seven-run rule, and the Tornados ultimately fell 8-0 in the series finale.
 
The Tornados will continue their home stand at Tornado Softball Field on Friday, opening the three-game set with Mary Hardin-Baylor with a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
