HOUSTON, Texas - The Concordia Texas cross country program participated in their first road meet of the season at the Rice Invitational.
Kamron Loera (21:58.5) paced the men's team in the 4-mile race, while
Brianna Lopez (18:49.8) led the women's team in the 4k at the Rice Intramural Fields on Friday.
Jacob Ismir (23:05.7),
Thomas Hughes (23:19.5),
Samuel Valdez (23:58.5),
Lawson Meiers (24:31.2) and
Aaron Ramos (24:42.9) all clocked in at under 25 minutes for the men.
Daniel Bizima crossed the finish line at 26:03.0. The men's team finished second out of the Division III programs at the Invitational.
Alycia Barboza (19:44.4) and
Faith Bueno (20:27.3) completed the 4k consecutively to earn points for the Tornados in the women's race.
Pendo Mugofwa rounded out the finishers for CTX with a time of 21:24.1.
