SUWANEE, Ga. - Concordia Texas cross country athlete Ashley Rivera has been named the SCAC Women's Runner of the Week, the league's office announced on Tuesday. Rivera is the first Lady Tornado to be deemed the honor since herself in 2023 & the first Tornado (men or women) to earn the honor as a member of the SCAC.

Rivera led the way for the Tornados at the Schreiner/Mountaineer Hill Country Invite with a top 15 finish. She crossed the line of the 6K course in a new PR time of 26:13.1 to post the top SCAC finish at the meet. Her efforts helped Concordia secure a fifth place overall team finish.
