ROUND ROCK, Texas - Following a 12-day hiatus, the Concordia Texas men's soccer team fell in a 1-0 defeat to Southwestern University. The Pirates connected on a post-corner kick scrum in the eighth minute at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Friday.
Melvin Molina, Antonio Rios, and Gavin Seesholtz all fired a shot on goal for CTX, while junior goalkeeper Joshua Redding corralled two saves.
The Tornados were the aggressor on offense for much of the match as they outshot Southwestern 12-8 (10-5 in the first half) and tallied five corner kicks to the Pirates' one.
Concordia Texas will next travel to San Antonio this Sunday to take on Trinity at 7 p.m.
