MARSHALL, Texas - Concordia Texas volleyball senior outside hitter Alyssa Legette posted her second double-double (16 assists and 10 digs) of the season in a 3-0 loss to the ETBU Tigers. Second-year outside hitter Jennika Willis totaled eight kills to lead the Tornados in a game that featured 26 ties and 11 lead changes inside Ornelas Gymnasium on Tuesday.

Back-to-back kills by Jaya McCarty helped spark a run by the Tornados to give them an early 10-6 advantage in the first set. With CTX up 17-14 later in the set, the Tigers finished the set on a 11-2 burst to claim game one.

After giving up the first point in set two. Concordia Texas jumped out to a 8-3. As both teams battled, they found themselves in a 15-15 stalemate, ETBU found a second win en route to a 25-17 victory.

Both teams battled tough in the third set, where a kill by Willis caused a 23-23 tie late into the game. The Tigers were able to generate two more points to claim the match victory.

CTX will next travel to Jackson, Miss. where they will compete in four games in the Millsaps/Belhaven Invitational. They will first play against Belhaven (1 P.M.) and the University of Dallas (5 P.M.) on Friday, Sept. 9.
