BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas volleyball team was bested in a 3-0 decision against LeTourneau University. The matchup featured a total of 16 ties and six lead changes inside of the CTX Fieldhouse on Friday.
CTX jumped out to a 7-1 lead, before LeTourneau tied the match at 9-all in set one. Four straight aces would ultimately put the Yellowjackets ahead for good in a 25-17 win.
LETU took the early advantage before CTX came storming back with a x-x run for a 17-11 lead in the second. The Yellowjackets responded with a 9-1 flurry, before Concordia answered with three straight points capped by a Presley Bunting kill. With the marathon of a set tied at 27-27, the Yellowjackets escaped with the final two points.
Set three was tied 8-8 when LeTourneau pulled away with an 10-2 burst. A kill by Savannah Kari initiated a 4-1 run for Concordia, but the Yellowjackets would tally a 25-18 win to claim the series.
Concordia Texas will be right back in conference action against East Texas Baptist University tomorrow, October 13th at 1pm.
