Trio represents CTX at men's XC Regionals

Junior Kamron Loera (25:13.6) led the Tornados with a top-25 finish.

RIVERSIDE, California - A trio of runners represented the Concordia Texas men's cross country team at the NCAA Regional Championship meet in Riverside, California. Junior Kamron Loera claimed a top-25 finish as he clocked in at 25:13.6 to earn 24th-place at the Riverside Course on Saturday morning. 

Fellow all-conference junior Thomas Hughes placed 79th overall with a time of 26:40.4. Freshman Matthew Kangas crossed the finish line at 5:35.9 to earn 130th-place in the loaded field.

Loera's time is the first sub-26 minute race at Regionals in the school's history, as he defeated his own school record from last season (26:51.1). Hughes erased his previous PR (29:57.5) at Regionals by over three minutes. The three CTX competitors in the race marks the third consecutive year that multiple runners represented the school at Regionals.
