Richardson, Texas- The Concordia Texas softball team was bested in the series finale against UT-Dallas by a score of 3-0. The Tornados got a strong finish from starting pitcher
Kannzas Haydel in the circle at UTD Softball Field on Saturday.

Haydel allowed only three runs over seven innings of work and posted a shutout in the final innings to keep CTX alive throughout the game.

In search comeback at the top of the fifth inning,
Megan Hooper hit toward left field securing a double, but Concordia was unable to scratch across a run to keep the score 3-0.Â

The Tornados had one last chance in the seventh as
Mindy Matthews managed to get on base with no outs. The Comets would hold steady to record the final three outs and preserve the win.

Next up, the Tornados will take on the University of Ozarks in a series conference battle at home starting with a doubleheader on April 6th. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
