GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team was bested in an 8-1 decision at 23rd ranked Southwestern University. The tandem of Kayla Pena and Isabella Cepeda claimed a victory in doubles for the Tornados at the Marvin D. Henderson Sr. Tennis Courts on Wednesday.

Kaitlin Stevens and Isabella Wiik were outlasted 8-6 on line one, but Pena and Cepeda evened the score at 1-1 with an 8-7 win. The Pirates reclaimed the lead with a court three win over Trinity Klamecki and Claire Austin. Entering singles play, Pena and Cepeda put forth strong efforts against their ranked counterparts as Southwestern would go on to win out and claim the victory.

Concordia Texas will now return home for the regular season finale where they will host UMHB next Saturday, April 15th. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
