MARSHALL, Texas - The Concordia Texas volleyball team faced East Texas Baptist University in their first conference matchup of the season, but was bested 0-3 inside Omelas Gymnasium.

The Tigers came out hot until two kills by Rayna Pack put CTX on the board. In an attempt to cut into the deficit, a kill by Pack pack sparked a 3-0 burst to Concordia's score but ultimately fell in set one, 25-14.

In set two CTX dialed in 13 points, but ETBU managed to spark a burst to claim the set, 25-13.

It was a competitive back-to-back battle in set three with a kill by Nicole Deering sparking a 6-4 burst for the Tornados to cut into the deficit, 7-8. Concordia looked to jump into the lead, but ETBU surged into a 17-10 to claim set three, to close the match 3-0.

The Tornados will continue on the road to Longview, TX to battle LeTourneau University on September 16th at 1 PM.
