Women's Basketball Concludes Season on Senior Day

Bailey Andrews, Kallie Krenz and Zakari Perry were all honored for the final game.

AUSTIN, Texas - In what served as the season finale, Bailey Andrews, Kallie Krenz and Zakari Perry was honored during the Senior Day ceremony. The Tornados fell in a 74-67 contest against McMurry University inside the Concordia Fieldhouse.

Both teams came out strong defensively as the first point of the game was not scored until the 7:30 mark of the first quarter. The Warhawks started the game on a 11-2 run, but Concordia would chip away at the deficit. They would then take their first lead of the game at 22-21 when Jordan Bravo dished the ball to Brooke White with 7:44 left in the first half.

The Tornados led by as much as eight points, but both teams would trade runs for a 34-34 tie with just over a minute remaining in the half. CTX would then take a 37-34 advantage into the break when Bravo pulled up for a three to beat the buzzer. 

Concordia led 42-41 midway through the third, before the Warhawks exploded for 18-7 run. The Tornados would cut the game back within single digits when an Abby Parra leakout pass found Perry in the corner for a three.

McMurry would find some rhythm offensively to up their lead to as much as 17 points, before a pull up jumper by Bravo sparked a 10-0 run to bring CTX within seven points. The lead would be just a tad too much to overcome as McMurry would leave with the win.
