LONGVIEW, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's basketball team was downed 89-76 by LeToureau of the ASC Tournament men's basketball quarterfinal. Corey Thompson and Donovan Stafford recorded game highs of 20 points each inside Solheim Arena on Tuesday.

With the score tied 12-12 after the first media timeout, the Yellowjackets struck with an 8-0 run for the first punch. LETU pushed their lead to as much as 15 in the first half, before a Stafford floater capped off a flurry by the Tornados to make it a 40-33 game at the break.

Down 16 with 7:29 left in the game, Corey Thompson was fouled on a three and knocked down all three free throws to ignite a Concordia run. CTX finally reduced it back to a single-digit game at 79-71 with 2:45 remaining.

This would be the closest the Tornados would get as both teams would trade buckets down the stretch.
