GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's tennis team swept LeTourneau University, 9-0. Daniel Beckles had the match of the day as he outlasted his opponent at the River Place Country Club on Saturday.
The team of Joeri Bregman & Steven Scholz blanked their opponents on line three of doubles. Joshua Bode & Adrian Munguia had their closest match of the season so far with an 8-6 win on line one, while Esteban Arredondo and Kishan Kersten took care of business with an 8-2 triumph on line two.
Bode had a 6-2, 6-1 win to kick off singles play. Arredondo posted a straight-set victory on line five, while Kersten only dropped one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win on court three.
Kade Talbot had a solid outing in his season debut with a 6-4, 6-1 win. Scholz outlasted his opponent on court two with a pair of 7-6 victories. Beckles closed out the show with a 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 win to preserve the third straight sweep for the men's team this season.
Concordia Texas will next be back in action on Thursday, February 29th against Covenant College at Southwestern University. First serve is set for 2pm.
