GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team extended their win streak to four with a 8-1 win over Covenant College. Rebekah McQueen claimed a three-set win in the final match of the day at the Southwestern University Tennis Courts on Wednesday.
Trinity Klamecki and Emily Pullen cruised to a 8-0 win on line two of doubles. The teams of Isabella Cepeda / Kayla Pena (8-2) & Natalia Goodman / Aria Moreni (8-3) both won convincingly to sweep doubles for CTX.
Pena, the reigning ASC Player of the Week, posted an identical win of 6-2, 6-2. Cepeda clinched with a 6-0, 6-4 victory on line two, while Klamecki was bested 6-3, xxx.
Goodman held serve on court four, and Moreni collected a 6-2, 6-2 win on line five. McQueen split the first two sets 6-3, 4-6, before winning the final set 10-7.
Concordia Texas will next be back in action on Saturday, March 2nd against East Texas Baptist at the River Place Country Club in Austin. First serve is set for 2pm.
