AUSTIN,Texas- The Concordia women's tennis team was downed in a 4-5 decision against East Texas Baptist University inside River Place Country Club.
The Tornados fell behind 3-0 in doubles action to open up the series. The tandem of
Kayla Pena and
Isabella Cepeda fought until the very end but came up short in doubles 7-8. The duo
Trinity Klamecki and
Natalia Goodman also battled in a tight contestant but came up short, 7-8.
Concordia won the first two matches in singles action with Pena and Cepeda both dominating in their sets. Goodman and
Emily Pullen clinched their matchups in two sets but the Tigers go onto to win the last match in singles to earn their win.
Concordia Texas women's will now prepare for their matchup against McMurray University on March 23 at 10 AM in Abilene, Texas.
