LONGVIEW, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's golf team earned an eighth-place finish at the FST Invitational. AJ So (T-12th) & Jorge Arnaud (T-15th) both finished in the top 15 at the Pinecrest Country Club.
So (76-69-78-223) had an exceptional day two as he reached as high as fifth on the leaderboard at the tournament. Arnaud was steady throughout the tournament with a score of 73-77-75-225. CJ Reitmeyer (75-76-78-229) finished four shots behind Arnaud to tie for 32nd. Parker Smith had the third best score of the Tornados at 81-75-82-238 to tie for 54th.
In his first tournament as a scorer for the Tornados, Koke Dolce placed 67th with a three-round score of 80-85-84-249. Carl Martinez rounded out the points for Concordia at 83-86-84-253 to finished tied for 69th at the event. Senior Connor Colangelo competed as an individual at the course and placed 76th with a score of 87-90-93-270.
Arnaud had the third-best par four average of the tournament at 4.17, while he & Dolce posted one eagle each for CTX. So led Concordia with 32 total pars, while he & Reitmeyer combined for 18 birdies (nine each).
Concordia Texas will next host the Linda Lowery Invitational on March 25-26 at the Hills Country Club (Live Oak Course).
