DALLAS, Texas - Concordia Texas men's tennis player Joshua Bode has been named the ASC West Tennis Player of the Week, the league's office announced on Tuesday. This is Bode's third time receiving the honor this season.

Bode (Austin, Texas) went 3-3 in a grueling stretch against stiff competition last week. He and doubles partner, Adrian Munguia, went 1-2, claiming an 8-4 victory over Rhodes College last Monday. In singles, Bode collected a pair of victories as he cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Rhodes.

He then won his line one match over Wesleyan, 6-2, 6-4. In the final matchup with #16 Amherst, Bode was bested against their player who was ranked 49th in the country by a score of 4-6, 2-6. This is his third ASC Player of the Week this spring.

Bode and the Tornados will now resume ASC action this Friday, March 23rd in Abilene, Texas with a doubleheader against McMurry University (10am) and Sul Ross State (4pm).
