Men's Tennis Falls to Carnegie Mellon

Joshua Bode picked up a pair of wins as the Tornados' win streak halts at five.

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's tennis team had their five-match winning streak conquered in a close, 5-3 decision against Carnegie Mellon on Wednesday. Joshua Bode led the way with a pair of wins on line at Southwestern University. 

Bode and Adrian Munguia preserved line one with an 8-6 victory, while the team of Esteban Arredondo & Kishan Kersten claimed an 8-4 triumph on court two. Carnegie won the final match of doubles to make it 2-1 into singles play. 

Bode gave CTX a 3-1 lead up with a 7-5, 6-4 win on line one. Carnegie Mellon would go on to win four straight matches where the last two were decided on the final set. 

Concordia Texas will now host Rhodes College this Monday, March 11th at East View High School in Georgetown, Texas. First serve is set for 1pm.
