AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's tennis team powered their way to a 9-0 victory over Hardin-Simmons. The Tornados celebrated their graduating seniors in the final home match of the regular season at the River Place Country Club on Saturday.
Esteban Arredondo & Kishan Kersten were efficient in an 8-3 doubles victory on line two. Daniel Beckles & Joeri Bergman followed suit with an 8-5 line three win, while Joshua Bode & Adrian Munguia earned an 8-6 win to secure the sweep going into singles play.
Kersten cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win on line four, while Munguia tallied a 6-3, 6-1 triumph on court two. Bode clinched the conference win on court one with a 6-0, 6-3 victory.
Arredondo made it 8-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 win on line six, while Steven Scholz completed the sweep with a pair of tiebreaker victories (7-6, 7-6) in the final match of the day.
Concordia Texas will next cap off non-conference play in Sherman, Texas where they will take on Austin College next Saturday, April 13th. First serve is set for 1pm.
