CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas - The Concordia Texas softball team dominated in a doubleheader at the University of the Ozarks. Four Tornados went yard at the Thomas Frances Wilson Softball Field on Saturday.

GAME ONE: W, 17-4 (Five Innings)

The Tornados' bats came out on fire with RBI-singles by Grace Coleman & Addison Lehew. Later in the inning, Megan Hooper blasted a three-run homer to centerfield for a 5-0 lead. The Eagles scored their first run of the game in the second, but CTX pushed the lead to 8-1 in the third when Molly Olivarez crushed a three-run homer. 

With an 8-2 lead in the fourth, Concordia Texas exploded for nine runs that was highlighted by another three-RBI homer by Kylie Kirk. The Eagles added another two runs, but Concordia would earn the run-rule victory.

GAME TWO: W, 17-0 (Five Innings)

CTX stayed on fire offensively with seven runs on seven hits and three errors in the first. Coleman added two more runs in the second with a homerun that scored Kirk. Later in the frame, a RBI-single by Hooper brought Lehew around the bases to extend the lead to 10-0 entering the third.

Concordia would not let up in the third as Coleman connected on a two-RBI single. Lehew, Kylie Pavlicek, & Hooper would all also record RBIs to up the lead to 15-0. Kirk then pummeled her second homer of the day to left field and scored Zalexis Perez for a 17-0 advantage after four frames. This would be the final runs of the day to secure the sweep for CTX.

Concordia Texas will now return home for a non-conference series against Sul Ross State University starting April 12th. First pitch is set for 4pm.
