AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas volleyball team was upended in a 3-1 match against Pacific Lutheran. Brooklynne Fitzgerald recorded a double-double inside the CTX Fieldhouse on Saturday morning.
After trading runs in the first set, the Lutes led 20-19 before claiming the win by scoring five of the last six points. It was once again a tight battle in the second frame where both teams were deadlocked at 26-all late. Concordia would tie the match at 1-apiece with two straight kills by Fitzgerald & Faith Zoch.Â
The Lutes took control early in the third set with an 18-4 lead, before winning 25-7. In game four, they kept up their momentum with a 20-6 run to start. Concordia would chip away at the deficit with a kill by Fitzgerald to bring the game within single digits at 23-14. Pacific Lutheran would score the final two points to take the series win.Â
