CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team earned a gritty 2-0 road win at the University of the Ozarks. Ivan Essis & Irvin Martinez recorded their first goals as Tornados, while CTX earned their fourth clean sheet at the Thomas and Frances Wilson Soccer Field on Sunday.

Samuel Reyes almost put CTX on the board in the 29th with a shot that smacked off the woodwork. With both teams holding stealing defensively, the teams would enter halftime scoreless.

In the 47th, a spectacular run and dish off from Tyler Kenny gave Essis an easy tap in for the lead. 

With both teams battling for the next crucial goal, CTX would get into the box in the 84th. Following shots that were deflected, Santiago Martinez fed Martinez just outside the edge of the box who then powered the ball into the upper left to secure the victory.

Concordia Texas will next travel to Irving, Texas to take on the University of Dallas this Friday, October 10th. Kick off is set for 7:30pm.
