HOUSTON, Texas - In the season finale, the Concordia Texas volleyball team took down the University of St. Thomas in four sets. Houston native, Brooklynne Fitzgerald (29 kills, 20 digs) posted her first 20-20 match of the season, while Emma Rosier (23 assists, 14 digs) also tallied a double-double inside the Jerabeck Activity and Athletic Center on Sunday. 

The Tornados came out inspired as they scored 17 of the first 21 points of the match. The Celts surged back to cut the deficit to 24-23, but Concordia would claim game one with a kill by Kinlea Reeder.

Another strong start in game two by CTX put them up double digits with an ace by Fitzgerald giving the Tornados at 22-11 advantage. Concordia would then go up 2-0 in the series with a 25-17 win.

The Celts claimed game three with a 25-18 win and would have momentum in game four with a 14-9 lead. St. Thomas would then be a point away from tying the match with a 24-19 lead, but Concordia would respond with a furious rally as they recorded the final seven points of the match.

Following this win, the Concordia Texas volleyball's season has come to a close. Thank you all for an amazing season.
