IRVING, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team was downed by Colorado College in the SCAC Quarterfinals by a score of 89-64. Joey Ramirez & Corey Thompson combined for 39 points inside the Maher Athletic Center on Friday.
The Tornados jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but Colorado reasonded with eight straight points. With the Tigers leading 18-14, they would surge ahead with a 21-3 run. CTX would chip away at the deficit and would close the gap to 43-28 heading into the break.
Continuing their momentum, Ramirez would find Thompson for a bucket to cut make it a single-digit game at 49-40 with 15:50 remaining. With both teams trading buckets, the Tigers would pull away late to earn a spot into the SCAC Semifinals.
