AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's basketball team stormed back from a 13‑point halftime deficit to defeat Colorado College 84–80 on Thursday evening inside the Deb & Don Christian Fieldhouse. The Tornados erupted for 51 second‑half points and leaned on clutch free‑throw shooting to remain perfect in conference play.
Colorado College came out firing, shooting 50 percent in the opening half and building a 46–33 advantage behind the interior presence of Asher Nofziger, who tallied 11 points and eight rebounds before the break. CTX struggled to find rhythm early, but the Tornados stayed within reach.
Concordia flipped the script out of the locker room, immediately ramping up defensive pressure and attacking in transition. The Tornados forced 21 turnovers on the night including several during a pivotal 17–4 run — to erase the deficit. Aaron San Miguel continued to lead the charge, while Anariss Brandon and Percy Green provided steady scoring inside.
With the game tied entering the final minutes, CTX's composure at the line proved decisive. The Tornados shot 27–30 from the stripe, including a perfect 8–8 from Green and 7–8 from San Miguel. A late jumper from Joey Ramirez and back‑to‑back free throws from Brandon pushed the lead and sealed the comeback victory.
Concordia's bench delivered 35 points, highlighted by Cameron Thompson's seven points and two steals, and Darone Leakes' timely threes that fueled the second‑half surge.
