GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team defeated Southwestern Universityon the road by a score of 5-2. The Tornados claimed all five wins in singles action as the victory marked the program's first ever win over the Pirates.
Although Southwestern tallied the doubles point,
Kailey Albrecht & Alyssa Estella earned a 6-3 win on line three.
Johanna Winkler &
Valerie Sanchez both powered to three-set triumphs on flights one and two.
Emily Pullen,
Alyssa Estrella, and
Kailey Albrecht all churned out wins in singles play as well to help CTX claim the victory.
Concordia Texas will look to continue their momentum as they will host Hardin-Simmons tomorrow at the River Place Country Club. First pitch is scheduled for 2pm.
