GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's tennis team blanked Austin College in a 7-0 triumph. Tornados collected three straight-set victories at East View High School on Saturday.
Aaron Griffin &
Kade Talbot set the tone with a 6-0 win on flight two doubles. The tandem of
Steven Scholz &
Jake Riggs followed up with a 6-1 win, while
Daniel Beckles &
Rowan Daniell powered their way to a 6-3 victory.
Scholz (line one) and
Jack Rectenwald (line six) surged to straight-set wins as CTX did not allow any of their opponents to net more than one game in the six singles matches.
Concordia Texas will look for another conference win tomorrow when they host the University of Dallas. First serve is scheduled for 2pm.
