Outlook (2010-2011)

Skylar Lott returns for her sophomore season for Concordia after coming off a freshman campaing that saw Lott shoot 44% from the field and play in 23 contests for the Tornados. Lott, a 6'3 post player, was the Bastrop County Player of the Year in 2009.

Last year Skylar averaged 7 points and 6 rebounds a game for CTX. She averaged over two offensive rebounds a game and posted a career high 11 rebounds against Howard Payne on Janurary 11th. Lott recorded four games of 15 points or more and was a dominating defensive presence at times for the Tornados.

Head Coach Rusty Rainbolt said Lott will bring a physical inside presence to the Tornados this year.

"Skylar can really impact the game on the defensive end with her size and strength. She is really strong underneath and does a good job of controlling the paint. Her ability to get out and run the court is really impressive and she is working  hard to add to the offensive part of the game. We are looking forward to a big season from Skylar."

High School

Skylar averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds a game in her senior campaign on her way to all-district honors. She was a three-year starter for Coach Jackie Bowman and guided Bastrop to a County Championship in 2009.

Outside of the court Lott was a three-time letter winner in track & field, cheerleading and twirling.

Personal

Skylar is the daughter of Lori Anderson and Aron Anderson. She has two twin brothers, Stetson (17) and Sterling (17). She is a kinesology major and also involved in the kinesology club at Concordia. One day to hopes to run her own physical therapy business.
