Outlook (2010-2011) 

Lashanda Luckey comes to Concordia Texas after spending one year at  both Southwestern Christian College and South Plains College. Luckey was apart of a South Plains squad that won a region championship before heading to Southwestern Christian where she started every game last year. Lashanda, a 5'8 guard, earned MVP and first-team all-district honors in her senior campaign at Garland High School.

As a sophomore at SWCC, Luckey averaged 10 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists for head coach Stan Giddings. She started all 30 contests for the year and was the team's second-leading scorer.  

Luckey earned a 3.6 grade point average during time at colleage and was a member of Phi Thetta Kappa.

Head Coach Rusty Rainbolt said Lashanda will provide a huge playmaking ability to the Tornados on both ends of the floor. 

"Lashanda is really explosive and her ability to move with the ball and lockdown defensively will be a huge advantage for us. She is excellent in transition and can guard multiple positions. Offensively she knows how to penetrate and finish at the basket. She is a fierce competitor and will do anything she can to make herself and her team better."

High School 

Luckey averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals per game as a senior on her way to garnering MVP and all-district honors for Coach Kyle Stevens. She also played club basketball for Coach Eugene Hannah and the Lady Dynamite. 

In addition to her time on the basketball court, Lashanda was a three-time letter winner on the track & field team at Garland High School. While there she carried a 3.8 g.p.a. and was a part of the National Honor Society.

Personal 

Lashanda is the daughter of Latoniadra Johnson and Jeffrey Luckey. She has three brothers, Jerome (18) Jamal (18) and Nathaniel (10). She is a behavioral science major and has hopes of one day becoming a sports agent. The junior is also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at CTX where she is the secretary.
