Sam Burns joins the Concordia Texas staff after a decorated playing career at nearby St. Edward's University. While playing at St. Edwards, Burns helped the Hilltoppers to the Heartland Conference crown three years in a row (2012-2014).
During his senior campaign he was part of a program-tying best 16-3-1 record and helped his team reach the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time ever in 2014.  He was twice named to the Heartland Conference President’s Honor Roll (2012-13) as well as the Heartland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll (2011-12).Â
Before joining the Hilltoppers, Burns played seven years with Sunderland (U.K.) Academy.
Burns graduated in three and a half years from St Edward's University, with an undergraduate degree in kinesiology. He is currently pursuing his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at Concordia.

Prior to joining the Concordia staff, Burns worked with Liverpool FC America, Lonestar Club, and Austin Sports Academy (ASA).
Originally from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom, Burns now makes his home in Austin.
