Cassidy Bowen, a native of Tulsa, OK, joined the CTX softball staff in the fall of 2024. She was a multi-sport athlete who excelled in softball, basketball, track, and weightlifting during her high school years. She went on to be a standout player at the University of Tulsa, where she was a four-year starter in softball, playing as a catcher and infielder. Cassidy set records for the most runners picked off both in a single season and in her career, achievements that stand in both the University of Tulsa and Conference USA.

After her collegiate career, Cassidy transitioned to coaching, leading the Houston Christian High School softball team for four years. Under her leadership, the team became the 2023 Southern Preparatory Conference State Runner-Ups and won the sportsmanship award. She also served as an assistant coach for two years at the prestigious Kinkaid School.

Athletics run in the family, as Cassidy’s father is the head coach at Heritage Rogers High School in Rogers, AR. A fun fact about Cassidy is that she played against Haylee Guest (head coach Jeff Staton's daughter) who was at UTSA while Cassidy was at Tulsa—Tulsa won that game, a victory Cassidy fondly remembers.
