Haylee Guest has been the pitching coach for Concordia University Texas softball since the 2021 season. She brings years of experience working with pitchers at multiple levels. Before joining the Tornados’ staff, she coached high school softball at Killeen Shoemaker and Leander Rouse and worked with elite travel ball athletes as a coach for the Texas Stix Softball Club.
Playing Career
Guest began her collegiate career at Concordia in 2010, where she quickly established herself as one of the program’s top pitchers. That season, she earned ASC First Team honors, was named Concordia’s Female Athlete of the Year, and set the program’s single-season record for lowest ERA (1.56). She also ranked in the top 10 for strikeouts (80), wins (10), and opponent batting average (.233).
At the plate, Guest hit .324 with four home runs and 25 RBIs. After her standout season at Concordia, Guest transferred to UTSA, where she competed from 2011 to 2013 and finished among the program’s all-time leaders in career wins (36), starts (74), innings pitched (447.0), ERA (2.62), and strikeouts (318). She earned third-team All-Southland Conference honors in 2012 after posting a 15-8 record with 151 strikeouts and four shutouts. In 2013, she was named to the WAC All-Tournament Team after posting a 0.69 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 20.1 innings.
