Stan Warren

Stan Warren is entering his fourth year at Concordia University Texas as the head softball coach. In addition to his leadership of the softball program, Warren also serves as the assistant athletic director for business services.

Warren took over the helm of the Concordia softball program in July 2006 and after just one year under his leadership, the softball program became a competitive team in the West Division of the American Southwest Conference. 

The most successful year to date under Coach Warren’s tutelage was the record-setting 26-12 in 2008. The team placed second in the Conference West Division and earned a berth in the Conference Championship Tournament for the first time since joining the ASC in 2000. In 2009 the team finished with a 20-20 overall record. 

For his efforts during the 2008 season, Coach Warren was named a West Division tri-Coach of the Year. In his four years, the team has had 14 players named to the all-conference teams and three named to all-region teams.

Coach Warren has over 19 years of coaching experience at various levels and another three years as president of a sports association where he managed softball, baseball and football programs. He has been involved with Concordia University in several capacities. He attended what was then Concordia Junior College as a student-athlete in the basketball program, one of his sons was a three time all-conference baseball player who recently graduated from Concordia, and now as a softball coach. Coach Warren also serves as Concordia University’s Assistant Athletic Director.

After attending Concordia Junior College, Coach Warren transferred to Southwest Texas State University where he graduated with honors with a degree in Business Administration.

Coach Warren and his wife Nancy reside in southwest Austin.
