Heather Primavera is in her second season as the head coach of the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team. She became the Tornados' head coach on April 15, 2013, after spending eight seasons as an assistant coach and student-athlete at Midwestern State University.

In her first season at Concordia Texas, Primavera led the Tornados back to the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Tournament for the fourth consecutive year. CTX recorded a 6-7-3 overall mark (4-4-1 ASC) a year ago. Four Tornados earned all-league honors under Primavera's guidance.

As the top assistant at Midwestern State, Primavera helped guide the women’s program to its most successful seasons in school history. The Mustangs made their first-ever NCAA Division II Tournament appearances in program history in 2010 and '11, and advanced as far as the NCAA South Central Region finals. She mentored two Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Year award winners, including one that led the league with an 0.53 goals against average and posted a record-breaking 11 shutouts in 2009.

Primavera was also a standout student-athlete between the pipes for the Mustangs between 2005 and 2008. She was a team captain who received honorable-mention all-conference laurels after finishing her career with a 1.09 goals against average, 31 wins and 11 shutouts. The goalkeeper also made the Commissioner’s Honor Roll and participated in a mentoring program for local elementary school students.

Primavera, who has also been a goalkeeping coach for the Fort Worth United Soccer Club, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Midwestern State in 2008 and is nearing the completion of her master’s in kinesiology at the same institution. She is a native of Mansfield and currently resides in Austin.
