Lindsay Hanson begins her second season as head coach of the Concordia Texas women's soccer team.

In 2017, Hanson led the Tornados to a 10-8 overall record and advanced to the ASC Tournament Quarterfinals. The 10 wins were the third-most in program history and the most since the 2011 season for CTX. It was also the eighth straight season the Tornados have advanced to the ASC Tournament.

Six different Tornados' earned ASC all-conference honors in 2017, including Cayla Gonzales who was named to the ASC First Team. Additionally, six players earned ASC academic all-conference awards, including Kayla Carlove who was named an ASC scholar athlete. 

Hanson became the Concordia women’s soccer head coach in December of 2016 after serving the program as an assistant coach during the previous two years.

Hanson joined the program in 2015 as an assistant under then head coach Brad O’Kelley. During both seasons, Hanson helped lead the Tornados to the quarterfinals of the American Southwest Conference Tournament. In 2015, the team finished at 4-11-1 (3-5 ASC), but improved to 8-7-1 (6-5 ASC) in 2016 and earned eight All-Conference selections during that period.

Hanson also has served as a coach, since 2015, in the Olympic Development Program.

She previously served as a soccer trainer and after school coordinator at the Austin Sports Academy, where she worked with athletes one on one, facilitated camps and designed daily sports activities.

From 2013-2015, Hanson worked on the club soccer circuit as a staff coach with the Albion Hurricanes FC, Alamo Soccer Club, Boerne Soccer Club FC Thunder. She also served as a sports performance intern with Athletic Republic, where she developed exercise programs and trained athletes. Before that, Hanson was the varsity girls’ soccer coach at Holy Cross High School in San Antonio, Texas.

Hanson played collegiately from 2008-2009 at Louisiana State University at Shreveport, leading the Pilots to a 15-14-3 (3-8-1) record in her two years there.

Hanson received her bachelor of science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014 and achieved her masters degree in sports administration from Concordia in the spring of 2018. 

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Hanson resides in Leander with her husband Travis, daughter Parker and two dogs, Piper and Shiner.
