Shelby Spaulding

Shelby Spaulding joined the Women's Soccer coaching staff in August of 2017 as a graduate assistant. She is serving her second year in the role as a graduate assistant.

Spaulding joins the coaching staff after a four-year career as a goalkeeper for Howard Payne. While with the Yellow Jackets, Spaulding accumulated over 400 minutes in the net, totaling 37 saves while also being named a team captain in her final season. 

The Round Rock, Texas native lettered two years at local Round Rock High School, leading the Lady Dragons to the 2012 playoffs before attending HPU. Spaulding also played for the Austin Texans Soccer Club for four years at the D1 level and served as a coach and administrator with the South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA), assisting goalkeepers in training sessions. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in Business Management and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports administration.
