Men's Soccer drops ASC game to LeTourneau

LONGVIEW, TX – The Concordia University Texas men's soccer team fell to LeTourneau University on Friday afternoon. The 2-1 loss to LeTourneau in American Southwest Conference (ASC) play drops Concordia to 3-11 overall and 2-7 in ASC play while LeTourneau improves to 6-7-2 and 4-2-2.

The Yellow Jackets struck first in the 27th minute of the game. The Tornados battled back to even the score up at 1-1 less than a minute later when Chris Arden scored off an assist by Brian Friend in the 28th minute. The game remained knotted up at 1-1 until the Yellow Jackets scored the eventual game winner in the 62nd minute. The Tornados played a tough defensive game fighting off 26 of LeTourneau's 28 shots.

Concordia goalie Eric Davis had seven saves over the course of the game. Concordia had 9 shots and 5 corner kicks over the course of the game, while recording 1 goal.

Concordia will be back in action Saturday night against East Texas Baptist University. The game is set to start at 8:00pm.
