AUSTIN, Texas – Luke Long scored the only goal on Friday night and led the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over LeTourneau at Monroe Stadium.

Long, who posted the game-winner and his first career goal in the 61st minute, headed in a service from junior Christian Fredrickson. The freshman defender jumped in front of the goalkeeper and finished off a well-struck free kick by Fredrickson.

The Tornados (2-8-2, 2-4-1 ASC) controlled the pace for most of the contest and outshot LeTourneau (5-11-1, 3-5-0 ASC) 14-11, including a 9-5 advantage in attempts on target.

Fredrickson registered a match-high six shot attempts, including four on goal, while Long had only the one attempt.

Sophomore Nick Martin posted five saves and recorded his second clean sheet of the campaign.

Concordia Texas will host Texas-Tyler on Saturday night at St. Stephen's Episcopal School. The league tilt is slated to kick off at 7 p.m.
