BROWNWOOD, Texas – Katie Baker racked up a double-double and
Jordan Redmond posted 10 kills, as the Concordia University Texas volleyball team rolled to a sweep of Howard Payne in an American Southwest Conference (ASC) match on Tuesday night at Brownwood Coliseum. The Tornados won the match by scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-15.
Baker, who tallied her conference-leading 14th double-double of the year, led all players with 11 kills and 15 digs. The 5-foot-7 junior hit at a .526 clip on 19 attack attempts with only one error and also posted a pair of solo blocks.
Redmond hit .273 and racked up a match-best five total blocks (1 solo/4 assists).
Meanwhile,
Zoe Allen dished out a match-high 29 assists while leading Concordia Texas (11-11, 6-6 ASC) to a .270 hitting percentage.
The Tornados will continue its road trip on Friday, as the team travels to Texas-Tyler. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
