TYLER, Texas – League-leading Texas-Tyler scored two first-half goals and rolled to a 3-0 victory over the Concordia University Texas women's soccer team in an American Southwest Conference (ASC) match on Friday.
The Patriots (11-1-1, 7-0-1 ASC) received two goals in the opening period from Morgan Monzingo. Caitlin Cronan netted the final score in the 83rd minute.
The Tornados (5-4-3, 2-3-1 ASC) were limited to five shots in the match, including only one on goal.
Jordan James led the way with two shot attempts.
Meanwhile, Texas-Tyler launched 21 shots, including 15 on target.
Kila Hartom made 11 saves for Concordia Texas.
The Tornados will return to action on Saturday at LeTourneau. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Longview.
