AUSTIN, Texas –
Katie Baker registered her seventh consecutive double-double, but No. 16 Trinity was still able to sweep the Concordia University Texas volleyball team in a non-conference match on Wednesday night. The Tigers won the match by scores of 29-27, 25-18 and 25-18.
Baker, who collected her American Southwest Conference-leading 11th double-double overall, posted 16 kills and 11 digs in the loss.
Trinity (16-5), which won for the 12th time in its last 13 matches, recorded 11 total blocks and hit .231 on the night. Maggie Emodi logged a match-high 18 winners to lead the visitors.
The Tornados (9-9) were limited to a .137 hitting percentage and committed 23 attack errors.
Zoe Allen handed out a match-best 30 assists, while
Cassie Dominguez collected a match-high 17 digs.
Concordia Texas will continue its home stand on Friday, as the team hosts Sul Ross State in a conference tilt. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
