AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas volleyball team swept Sul Ross State in an American Southwest Conference match on Friday night at Concordia Fieldhouse. The Tornados won the match by scores of 25-12, 29-27 and 25-12.
Katie Baker posted her eighth consecutive double-double to lead Concordia Texas (10-9, 5-4 ASC) to the victory. The junior outside hitter racked up 17 kills and 15 digs, while hitting at a .351 clip.
Zoe Allen also registered a double-double after handing out 37 assists to go along with a dozen digs. The junior setter guided the Tornados to a .271 hitting percentage on the night.
Meanwhile, the Lobos (5-15, 1-9 ASC) were limited to a .063 hitting percentage.
Emmalee Kohler helped lead Concordia's defensive effort with six blocks.
The Tornados will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 14, as the team hosts Hardin-Simmons. First serve for the league tilt is scheduled for 7 p.m.
