BELTON, Texas – The fifth-seeded Concordia University Texas volleyball team dropped a three-set match to No. 2 seed East Texas Baptist in an American Southwest Conference Tournament elimination contest Friday afternoon at the Mayborn Campus Center. The Tigers won the match by scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-21.
The Tornados were limited to a .118 hitting percentage in the match.
Shelby Barker led the way on the attack with 11 kills, while
Skye Truss chipped in with 10 winners.
Zoe Allen logged a double-double with 21 assists and 12 digs, while
Cassie Dominguez led all players with 26 stops.
The Tigers (16-11) received 11 kills from Adaeze Elonu and a double-double of 32 assists and 12 kills from Kayla Taylor.
Concordia Texas concludes its season with a 14-14 overall record.
Meanwhile, East Texas Baptist moves on to play No. 6 seed Hardin-Simmons at 7:30 p.m.
