Softball to travel to Sul Ross State this weekend

AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas softball team will resume American Southwest Conference (ASC) action this weekend with a three-game series at Sul Ross State. The series opens with a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and will conclude at 12 p.m. the following day.

The Tornados (5-6, 3-3 ASC) have lost six of their last seven games, including all three last weekend against Louisiana College. Concordia picked up its three conference victories versus Ozarks (Feb. 14-15). The Tornados rank fifth in the ASC with a .321 batting average. CTX also has racked up 20 doubles, four home runs and 49 RBIs. Jessica Parish leads the league with 18 hits and is batting .545.

The Lady Lobos (0-9, 0-6 ASC) are still in their first win after two weeks of competition. Sul Ross State has been outscored 97-8 this season. The Lady Lobos are hitting .151 as a team and have registered a 13.69 ERA.
