AUSTIN, Texas – For the second consecutive weekend, the Concordia University Texas softball team will face one of the nation's top-10 teams, as the squad travels to No. 3 Texas-Tyler for a three-game American Southwest Conference (ASC) series. The set is scheduled to open with a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and will wrap up with a single game at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Tornados (15-16, 12-12 ASC), who have lost four consecutive games, sit in seventh place in the league standings, but only two games behind Mary Hardin-Baylor and Hardin-Simmons for fifth. Concordia Texas ranks fifth in the conference with a .310 batting average and ninth with a 4.72 ERA.
