TYLER, Texas – Third-ranked Texas-Tyler rolled to a 13-0, five-inning victory over the Concordia University Texas softball team on Saturday at Suddenlink Field to complete the three-game American Southwest Conference (ASC) series victory.

The Tornados (15-19, 12-15 ASC) were limited to only one hit in the finale, a single off the bat of Katie Carrizales in the first inning.

Carrizales also reached base in the fourth on a walk, but Concordia Texas was unable to break through in the scoring column.

The Patriots (32-2, 26-1 ASC) scored six in the first, two in the second, three in the third and two more in the fourth to complete the sweep.

Concordia will return to action on Thursday, April 17, in the opener of a three-game set against Texas-Dallas.
